As Utila is your Honduran destination, and you are traveling by air, book an International Flight into one of the following cities: San Pedro Sula (SAP) or Roatan (RTB) Honduras.
To get to Utila, most people fly into Honduras via San Pedro Sula (SAP) or Roatan (RTB) and there are now flights from both cities into La Ceiba which is located on the coast of the mainland of Honduras across from Utila. Scheduled flights to Utila are available from San Pedro Sula and La Ceiba but they are limited. It is best to talk to a Utila travel agent (see travel agent section). A travel agent can arrange charter flights or ground transportation from San Pedro Sula to La Ceiba. The Utila Dream Ferry departs La Ceiba twice a day and Roatan once a day.

Which Honduran City Should You Fly Into? There are no direct international flights to Utila. The options are as follows:
a) La Ceiba: this a smaller city on the coast of Honduras, and is the point of departure for the Utila Dream Ferry which leaves La Ceiba at 9:00 am and 4:40 pm. If you can’t make it to Utila in one day, we generally suggest staying in La Ceiba or San Pedro Sula, and have suggestions on San Pedro Hotels and La Ceiba Hotels in those pages.
b) San Pedro Sula: this is a larger city in Honduras, and there are limited commercial flight to Utila and daily flights to La Ceiba. Check with a travel agent for the latest schedules.
c) Roatan is the next island over from Utila and has an international airport. The Utila Dream Ferry travels between Roatan and Utila daily at 2:pm. Another option is to have a Utila travel agent arrange a private air charter.
