We offer both ½ day and full day charters and primarily fish for Marlin, Sailfish, Wahoo, Dorado and Baracuda.  We provide virtually all the equipment necessary and have the finest Penn and Fin-Nor equipment for your use.

PRIVATE SCUBA DIVING CHARTERS

We offer private two-tank scuba adventures unlike any of the dive operations here on Utila.  When you only have a week or two to fun dive that is exactly what you want; FUN DIVES!  What makes our services unique?

  • DIVE MASTER:  When diving with resorts and schools many of the dive masters that guide you are in training and have only been on Utila for a few weeks to a few months.  Our Dive Masters have all been on Utila for a minimum of 10 years and are intimately familiar with each and every dive site available.  Whether you want a Frog Fish, a Sea Horse or Sea Turtles our team knows just where to take you for the best opportunity.
  • BOAT FLEXABILITY:  When our Dive Master says we are going to the North side, that’s where we go.  We are not constricted by the needs of others on the boat.  You dive where you want to dive. Resorts and Dive Shops have agendas and limitations, maybe the speed of their boat, students who require a shallow sandy bottom or fuel limitations. On the Lay’in Low you and the Dive Master call the shots.
  • PERSONAL SERVICE:  We dive when you WANT to dive!  Want to sleep in and leave at 11am, no problem.  Want fruit and cheese for your sit interval, no problem.  Want to look for Whale Sharks and Dolphin, no problem!

Your needs are our wishes and we will do whatever possible to make your diving the best  dive experience you have ever enjoyed!

PRICING:  2 Tank Dive – $200 (Boat, Captain and Dive Master) Plus $20 per diver.    Price include tanks and weights

ECO TRIPS TO CAYOS COCHINOS

There is no other place in the Bay Islands that can compare to the beauty and tranquility that Cayos Cochinos offers.  I have NEVER had a trip that the guests did not believe this day was one of their most memorable experiences while visiting Utila.

THE TRIP:  We depart Utila (Weather permitting) on the “Lay’in Low” at 7am from either one of the public docks or any of the private docks, whichever is most convenient for our guests.

The trip takes roughly 1½ hours in both directions.  We return to Utila between 4pm-5pm depending on what we find.

 ITINERARY:  The agenda can change based on weather, what  guests want and what we find along the way.  In general, we do the following:

  • SWIM WITH DOLPHIN – Although we do not see them EVERY trip we do about 80% of the time.
  • SNORKEL – We do our best to get in two different snorkeling sites each trip.  This may be limited if we encounter a stationary dolphin pod as there is no better experience than swimming with Dolphin in the ‘Deep Blue”!
  • HIKING – Through the Rain Forest on Cayos Grande’.  This is the ONLY home of the Pink Boa Constrictor and the view from the Lighthouse is spectacular!
  • Garafunda Tribe on Chachuate Cay – There is no more picturesque spot then the simple village where the locals have lived the same way for close to 100 years.
  • LUNCH – We have three options for lunch and you will definitely be hungry.
    • The Plantation Resort – Serves a buffet featuring fresh fish or barbecued chicken ($11.)
    • The Garifunda Village – Serves fried fish, lobster or fried chicken ($7-$25)
    • Your own picnic – We stop at one of the many scenic coves in the amazingly clear water with the rain forest rising up 50 ft. from the boat.

  PRICING:    $200 (Boat and Captain) plus $25 per person and $10 park entry fee.   NOTE:  Lunch is the responsibility of the guests and at their expense.
