The Utila Dream Ferry
The Utila Dream makes the trip from Utila and La Ceiba in both directions twice a day in less than an hour in a large comfortable catamaran yacht. There are also trips to Roatan from Utila-See the page for travel to Roatan by boat or flight.

The Utila Dream can seat 232 passengers with 15 first class seats in the captain’s cabin. The indoor seating areas are air conditioned with a large outdoor seating area on the second level of the boat.

There is freezer storage available if you are transporting fresh or frozen perishables. Check their webpage for a complete list of prices for freight.

Daily Schedule for the Utila Dream Ferry:
Utila Dream Departs Twice daily from Both La Ceiba and Utila (and will add additional trips during high volume tourist times such as Semana Santa (Easter), New Years and Sun Jam (First weekend in August) check their facebook page for updates to their holiday schedule.

It is important to arrive at the ferry terminal at least 30 minutes prior to departure to be checked in.

Departing Utila for La Ceiba:
7:00 am
3:20 pm

Departing La Ceiba for Utila:
9:00 am
4:40 pm

Traveling Between Utila and Roatan on the Utila Dream Ferry:

The Utila Dream Ferry currently makes the trip between Utila and Roatan daily. This may be subject to change at certain times of the year.

Daily Schedule:
Departing Utila for Roatan at 10:15am.
Departing Roatan for Utila at 2:00pm.

Reservations are not taken or necessary (unless you have a very large group or are travelling during the holidays).Groups larger than 20 people receive a 20% discount in ticket prices.

The Utila Dream Ferry does not operate on New Years Day (January 1st) or on Good Friday each year as the ports in La Ceiba, Roatan and Utila are officially closed.

UtilaGuide tip: If you tend to get seasick,  ask for a seasick tablet (Dramamine), when buying your ticket- they are free.  Best to take it 45 minutes ahead of time. It will make you sleepy, so you can always try half too!
